international Cabrio meeting
Switzerland

The Swiss
Club have been hard at work organising this year’s event which
is to be held “in the heart of Switzerland”,
in the small village of Flüeli Ranft,
near
Sarnen, at geographic centre of Switzerland.
The event
will be based from the unique art nouveau hotel Paxmontana –
a truly beautiful venue
Programme
for the Weekend.
The weekend itself will follow a familiar format with arrival on Friday at
the Paxmontana Hotel between 3 and 7pm followed by checking in. Following
dinner there will be a driver’s briefing during which the groups and
the time of the start for Saturday’s orienteering rallye will be announced.
Afterwards there will be a chance to catch up with old friends over a beer
or two or three!!! Saturday will see the rallye in groups - 'hoods down' is
mandatory (weather permitting) - with various stops to enjoy their beautiful
mountain ranges and lakes to the full and other local attractions. In the
evening there will be a dinner followed by music/entertainment. On Sunday
there will be a drive to Lake Alpnach and from there a cruise on Lake Lucerne.
The meeting will be formally over at about 3pm after the cruise. Since it
is a considerable trip for most people, the Swiss Club has negotiated reduced
rates for additional nights at the same hotel for anyone wishing to extend
their stay either before or after the main weekend. This will allow you to
extend your stay in this wonderful part of Europe and to see many of the other
sights in the area that you might otherwise have missed.
Prices
The prices for the weekend include two nights accommodation, food, the cruise,
attractions entrance fees (where applicable), entertainment etc.

Person
Adults: £175.00
Children age up to 6: free of charge
Children age 6 – 11: £60.00
Children age 12 – 16: £100.00
Add charge for single room: £10.00 per night
Dogs are allowed at: £5.00 per night
Additional night –
double room with breakfast £43.00 per adult
Additional night – double room
on half board basis £63.00 per adult

Ferry
Arrangements
Whilst individuals will need to make their own ferry bookings to suit their
own plans for travelling down to Switzerland, it is likely that there will
be a few groups travelling down together (not such a bad idea in a 30-40 year
old car!!). If you would like to “hook up” with someone else please
let me know and I will pass on any confirmed travel arrangements that I am
aware of. If you are interested in attending, but have not been on an International
trip before and have questions please feel free to call or email me at the
details below.
Insurance
Participants will have to take care of their own travel insurance (if required)
together with the normal car breakdown cover etc.
